The United Arab Emirates consists of seven emirates- Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, and Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. There are no internal barriers hindering movement between them.
I have visited UAE six times and saw all of them excepting Ajman and Umm Al-Quwain which I will see in my next visit. In fact, during my recent visit to UAE, my son Baljit (Dobin) took me to Ras Al Khaimah and organised my 87th Birthday in Hotel Ritz Carlton AlHamra Beach Resort and evening tea in Hotel Ritz Carlton Desert Resort where we saw various animals moving freely along with a show of falcons.
By the way, Ras Al Khaimah is the largest city and capital of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. It is the sixth-largest city in UAE after Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and Ajman. The emirate is noted for its varied topography, from the Hajar mountains, to rolling sand dunes to 64 kms of beaches, it’s an easy 40-minute drive from Dubai International Airport.
Last but not the least, Dobin also organized in the morning my birthday in his hotel suite where entire staff of Hotel Roda, located in Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai, with cake came to wish me Happy Birthday.
I am publishing photographs of this memorable visit
