In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Guddi Ji
Remembrance Day – 19th July
The 19th of July is a day that will forever remain etched in our hearts. It marks the anniversary of the day our beloved Guddi Ji left for her heavenly abode. Though time moves on, her love, kindness, and beautiful memories continue to live with us every single day.
The day began with a solemn prayer meeting at home, where prayers were offered for the eternal peace of our beloved Guddi Ji’s soul. Floral tributes were lovingly placed in her memory by my devoted domestic staff, whose respect, affection, and heartfelt participation reflected the lasting impression she had made on everyone who knew her. Their thoughtful gesture was deeply moving and added a special sense of warmth and reverence to the day’s remembrance.
As we do every year, we gathered to remember and celebrate her life in the company of family and close friends. I had invited my dear friends to join us for a remembrance lunch at Bali Restaurant, Sector 17, Chandigarh. The gathering began at 12:30 p.m. and continued until 3:00 p.m., filled with warmth, affection, and cherished memories.
Everyone present spoke from the heart, sharing touching words and fond recollections of Guddi Ji. Their heartfelt tributes reminded us how deeply she touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
The afternoon became even more memorable when Dr. and Mrs. Sharma delighted everyone with their beautiful and scintillating songs. Their music created an atmosphere of togetherness and joy, reminding us that while we mourn her absence, we also celebrate the wonderful life she lived.
In the evening, I had the pleasure of hosting a pizza party for Manju’s children, bringing the family together once again in a spirit of love, unity, and remembrance. Seeing everyone together was a fitting tribute to the values of family and togetherness that she cherished throughout her life.
I would like to place on record my heartfelt appreciation and sincere thanks to Ms. Manjit and Colonel Parry for thoughtfully organizing the day’s events and ensuring that everything was conducted with dignity and affection. Their dedication made this remembrance truly special.
It would also be incomplete without acknowledging the invaluable support extended by Rabeena, whose kindness, care, and willingness to help were deeply appreciated by all of us.
As we remember Guddi Ji today, we pray that her noble soul continues to rest in eternal peace. Her love remains our guiding light, her memories our greatest treasure, and her blessings our constant source of strength.
You may have left our sight, dear Guddi Ji, but you will never leave our hearts. You are remembered with love, missed beyond words, and cherished forever.
